What a year!

My youngest child is a whole year old today. Emmeliese Elizabeth entered the world at 12:25 a.m. via c-section. I waited too long to make the decision to have the section and was unable to give her the birthdate she probably deserved (Annalivia and Daniel's birthdays are numerically blessed -- 2/25/2005 and 2/7/2007. Emmeliese could have been 3/9/09.) Oh, well. It will always serve to remind me of God's great mercy in keeping her from serious harm while I waited.

What a gift she is to our family! She's our sweet baby girl and growing up so fast! Happy birthday, little love!

so beautiful. such a gift! happy birthday beautiful girl and beautiful mama!

and the 10th is a pretty great b-day! do you know about the concept of golden birthdays? that's where you celebrate extra when the year matches the day- so on emmeliese's 10th b-day you'd go all out! i remember 10 being a super exciting b-day as it was. How cool to have it be a golden birthday! I never did this growing up. Then again, mine would have been at 2, and if we did, I don't remember. I so hoped I'd make it to an age that C would remember... and I think I did. 5 will be a cool golden b-day!

Thanks, Sarah! We never did golden birthdays, either. Of course, mine is the 1st, so, like you, it would not have been much different.

She is beautiful. I was just thinking the other day - "I have known April since she only had one child." Wow. :)

Happy Birthday little one!
