April, I MUST ask - do you know who Dawn French is? Today the kids were watching Narnia (again) :) and Mrs Beaver was talking. I kept thinking, "She sounds so familiar." Finally I realized who she sounded like - YOU! Then I just laughed at my own stupidity. So, my dear April, in my mind, you sound just like her. (Too much British comedy, ya think?) :) Just had to share my pathetic state -

Dawn...

I not only know Dawn French, I ADORE her!! Vicar of Dibley is one of my all-time favorite shows, and though it probably sounds just ridiculously heathenist, was SUCH a huge help when I was suffering culture shock in my first year of ministry here. I love, love, love her and THAT, my friend, is such a HUGE compliment. I'll try to avoid ever letting you hear my real voice!! :)

Oh I'm SO relieved you weren't offended. I just LOVE her in VoD. I just ALWAYS want to have her in for dinner. LOL (Ok, except for the time she was in the bathroom in her slippers, et al - with the guys all hanging out in the kitchen.)

I'm sad to think you'll avoid letting me hear your real voice, but it won't matter any way. Even if I did hear you and you didn't sound like her, your WORDS are like her, so I'd just figure you had a sore throat or some such. (There are such GRAND advantages to being blond and over 40) ;) ;) :D
