Thank you for your wise comments on my handmade gifts query. I've decided to send this little dress and bloomers as part of a package for a friend whose little girl is due towards summer. The yarn is Queensland Bebe CotSoy made of 50% organic cotton and 50% soy. It is soooooo soft! I think it may become the summer yarn of choice for me.
When Annalivia was born, this friend sent me two blue outfits. I'm hoping she still appreciates blue!

Oh...these are gorgeous, April. If I ever have another baby...you know what to make me. :)
ReplyDelete(Did you have a pattern for this or did you write it yourself?)
Thank you, Holly. The dress is from this pattern here. I changed it just a bit to suit myself. It's the same one that I adapted for the ivory, pink, and brown dress I made for Emmeliese.
ReplyDeleteThe bloomers I figured out myself, though I think one could definitely tell that by looking at them! :)
brilliant!!! good call! beautiful work! wow, april. you are inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love your little blue dress and have made one just like it but am wondering if you could provide a pattern for the bloomer. I am not good enough to design one myself yet. (I think those are bloomers, or is it a hat)Love your site. Sheila
ReplyDeleteI love all of your crochet work! (and your photography!) would you ever consider sharing your patterns?
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you chose for the dress and bloomers. I made the dress as well, and I've been looking for a pattern for the bloomers. Would you mind posting it or e-mailing your pattern?
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed reading your blog :)
