Tonight I realized that Annalivia, who had the same due date as baby Emmeliese, was born exactly 12 weeks from this point in the pregnancy. That seems really darn quick...
I'm curious what you call your kids on a regular basis. I could see it ending up Annie, Danny and Emmy. Which, I have to say, sounds kind of cool, all in a row like that. They are beautiful names, and offer the extra benefit of being highly adaptable into nicknames, one of the things I've always appreciated about my own name.
It's funny -- when we named Annalivia, we thought it would be easy to give her a nickname. But she's always just been Annalivia to us. No nickname. Same with Daniel. Sometimes I call Daniel "Dan-o" but never Danny.
My grandfather calls them Anna and Danny. And my mom and dad and Roo call Daniel "Danny", too. I used to try to get them to use his whole name. I've sort of given that up now. Age has some privileges, I guess.
it flies by, eh?
