Conditional grace

Yesterday, after her bath, Annalivia got out the hymnal and began singing at the top of her lungs. Apparently "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" made it into The Chalice Hymnal. O.I."Cricket" Harrison would be so proud.
My favorite song, though, appeared at the end of the concert.

It went like this,

"JESUS LOVES ME...

...ALMOST."

  1. How cute! I love when children do things to praise our Lord. Like when Landen starts praying and I don't even have to prompt him. It makes me feel like we're actually doing something right. =)

  2. Hey April -- I just saw that you "noticed me" back in June. Is that not pathetic. How are you? I feel like I haven't talked to you in forever. I had to post to this because Hannah is doing the same thing. She just got a big keyboard for her birthday and all I hear is a her singing "jesus loves me" into the mike and her plinking around on it. Write me some time. Linda

  3. On a similar note, Lily from the time she was about 2 would regularly 'go to services' where she would go to the kitchen (if it was cold outside) or to our enclosed porch (if it was warm) and conduct her own version of worship services...which ususally conisted of her singing the "shema" at the top of her lungs. I love it.

  5. When manBoy was Annalivia's age, he came home from Christian Pre-school singing:
    (Arms up in stregth pose)
My God is so big, so strong, and so mighty
(Arms swinging back and forth in front of him)
    Nothing to do

Later I heard him singing "It's better to give than receive." His version was "It's better to get a receipt."

Hang on to these memories. manBoy is now 5'11" tall.
